There’s something magical about traveling during the holiday season and feeling the festive spirit in a place away from home. Living in sunny Southern California, we love to take trips to our local mountains for a change of pace (and a change in weather!) One of our favorite destinations these days is Lake Arrowhead, located near Big Bear in the San Bernardino Mountains. Last weekend we headed up the mountain and enjoyed an amazing stay at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa.

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is located right on Lake Arrowhead and just steps from the fun-filled Lake Arrowhead Village. This has become a favorite area for our entire family to shop, eat and be entertained. The resort is also just a few miles from the famed Skypark at Santa’s Village, a year-round adventure destination that transforms into a holiday wonderland this time of year.

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is also home to BIN 189, a fabulous lakefront restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s also a great destination for late night beverages by the fireplace! We really enjoyed the Butcher Block salami and cheese platter during dinner and the breakfast was amazing all around. In the evenings, you may even be able to enjoy a campfire and s’mores on the beach by the lake!

If you are in or near SoCal and looking for a fun winter getaway for the family, Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is a great choice! The gorgeous holiday decor in the lobby and all around the lake make for a really festive and fun experience. You can ski, snowboard and sled in nearby Big Bear and of course, don’t forget to visit Skypark at Santa’s Village while you’re in town!

Our family was hosted at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa, BIN 189 and Skypark at Santa’s Village, but my review is genuine and all opinions are my own.
