In case you didn’t catch my last post, I just recently began a month-long trial with Personal Trainer Food. I’m here one week in to give you my thoughts and honest feedback about the program thus far. I want to address the taste, the cost, the convenience and of course the Personal Trainer Food results. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have in the comments below and I’ll do my best to answer quickly!
Personal Trainer Food Taste
When it comes to any diet or meal plan, I think taste is one of the most important factors, who wants to eat gross food every day?! I must say, Personal Trainer Food had me fooled for a second. Looking at the giant box full of individually plastic-wrapped frozen food that I received, I just didn’t imagine it could possibly taste good enough that I would be excited to eat this food every day. I was wrong!
The breakfasts are definitely my favorite, they all consist of an egg portion such as an omelette, fritatta or just a plain egg as well as either bacon or sausage. Yes, you get to eat bacon and sausage while losing weight! And, no joke, the maple sausage is probably the best breakfast sausage I’ve ever had, I was literally craving it every morning! The bacon isn’t as good in my opinion as it isn’t too crispy like I prefer it, but it’s still not bad and the eggs have all been great.
For lunch and dinner, you choose a meat entrée and a vegetable side, so you can mix and match endless combinations. Some favorites of mine so far have been the fajita chicken (which can be used in salads too), gluten-free chicken tenders and the buffalo ranch chicken sticks. I’ve loved all of the veggies I’ve tried, they’re all very crisp and fresh tasting which is amazing after being frozen and microwaved! You also receive 3 butter sauces with your order that you can use to flavor your food, but I find that I barely even need them as everything tastes great as is.
Personal Trainer Food Cost
The great thing about Personal Trainer Food is that they almost always seem to have some sort of promotion going on. I’ve seen deals lately that bring the cost of each meal to under $3.50, less than $11 a day! When you also consider all the time and money you’ll save by not needing to go grocery shopping as often, it’s really a great deal. I even have a coupon code to offer you that will score you $150 in savings, just keep reading to find out what the code is!
Personal Trainer Food Convenience
For me, sticking to a diet is much easier when there is as little work involved as possible. If I need to prep an entire meal from start to finish, the chances of me doing that several times a day, every single day, are minimal. With Personal Trainer Food, you just pick what you want to eat, toss it in the microwave for a couple of minutes and you’re ready to eat. The convenience factor is huge in determining how likely I am to adhere to a program.
I did have some issues with getting the timing right on cooking most of the items. If I follow what the package says, I end up with a cold spot in the middle. If I add time, the bag pops and can create a bit of a mess. I’ve found that with my microwave, adding an extra 10-15 seconds usually does the trick. Not a big deal, but the cooking process isn’t quite perfect. I do like that there’s very little waste involved with the packaging though, just a tiny bag for each item.
Personal Trainer Food Results
In my first week of eating Personal Trainer Food, I veered off the program on a few occasions. We ate out for a few meals and I also prepared a few family meals and didn’t want to be wasteful. I still stuck to pretty healthy meals that fit mostly within the program guidelines and happily lost 2 pounds in week one. I walked nearly every day as recommended, but didn’t do much more exercise than that…aside from unpacking into our new home!
My clothes are fitting better and I’ve received several compliments on my appearance related weight loss, so that’s always nice! I have also noticed that I’m sleeping better as well as feeling happier and healthier. I’m craving healthier foods and snacks and not craving junk at all. So, I have to say, so far so good! I can’t wait to see what the next few weeks have in store!
Now the part you’ve been waiting for, a coupon code! If you use the code ‘MOMBLOGGERS’ at PersonalTrainerFood.com, you can score $150 in savings on any 28-day program. Please note, this savings does not apply to subscription programs, only the 28-day programs. Let me know if you decide to take advantage of the savings, I’d love to hear what you think about the food!
I received a free 28-day supply of food from Personal Trainer Food in exchange for a series of blog posts, but all opinions are my own.
