This past week, LEGOLAND Water Park welcomed guests from Ronald McDonald House Charities for an exclusive behind the scenes preview of the upcoming Surfer’s Cove attraction. In a ceremony before the splashing began, LEGOLAND presented a check to Ronald McDonald House Charities for $80,000 to help continue their programs that strengthen families during difficult times.
Families were later treated to a luncheon featuring the delicious new Beach Street Tacos that will be available this summer as part of the LEGOLAND Water Park expansion. The water park was closed to the public for the day, so the guests at this event had the place all to themselves for an entire day!
Guests were also able to take hard hat tours of the new Surfers’ Cove, which will feature Riptide Racers timed water slides and will open on June 30th, 2017. The new addition will also include Wipeout Lagoon, a fun “spray ground” complete with water jets and new LEGO models like a surfing dog!
We were lucky to be a part of such a wonderful event as members of the media. We witnessed so many wonderful families having fun and celebrating the obstacles they have overcome with the help of Ronald McDonald House Charities and their donors!
The LEGOLAND Water Park is open seven days a week starting Friday, May 26. For ticket prices, operating schedule and additional information, visit www.LEGOLAND.com or call 760-918-LEGO (5346).
As a LEGOLAND Blogger, I received four complimentary tickets for this event.
