Like many of you I’m sure, I have so many fond memories of time spent with loved ones as a child. From my grandparents to aunts, uncles and family friends, I have so many fun experiences to look back on. My own children are now creating these same memories with their cherished family members and friends, and I want their window of opportunity to last as long as possible. Having lost my grandmother to complications following a heart attack, I am honored to be working with Bayer Aspirin on promoting awareness for how one simple action can possibly help to save a life.
Did you know that there’s a heart attack every 42 seconds in the U.S.? One of these people could be someone in your vicinity, whether a loved one or a perfect stranger. Did you also know that taking aspirin during a suspected heart attack can help save a life? This is why Bayer is encouraging more people to start carrying aspirin, you never know when you might be the hero for someone else’s loved one, or perhaps even your own.
Bayer Aspirin has developed a campaign called The HeroSmiths Theory to bring awareness to the life-saving benefits of Bayer Aspirin for someone suffering from a heart attack. Simply put, chewing aspirin during a suspected heart attack could possibly help save someone’s life, yet there isn’t always aspirin around. Bayer Aspirin wants to turn every person with the most common last name, Smith, into potential heroes, hence the name HeroSmiths Theory. My last name might not be Smith, but I still want to potentially help save a life! It’s so simple to add a small carrying case of Bayer Aspirin to my purse, I’ll hardly know it’s there. Between all of my lip glosses and the random toys my kids have tossed in, there’s definitely room in my bag.
