The San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival celebrated its 13th anniversary in grand style last week with a seven-day celebration from November 14-20, 2016. With tastings and events taking place day and night throughout the week, the celebration was highlighted by the Lexus Grand Tasting on Saturday, November 19th on the beautiful San Diego Bay. Over 150 wineries, breweries and spirit purveyors were joined by 60 of San Diego’s top restaurants for a day of fun and indulgence. Below are some of my photos from the event which is the biggest wine and food celebration on the West Coast!
It was truly a gorgeous day on the San Diego Bay! A bit chilly when we first arrived, but then the sun started to peek out and kept us perfectly warm without ever getting too hot!
The food samples were truly amazing! Over 60 restaurants and they all brought their very best offerings!
My husband was thrilled to see some of his fave breweries in addition to the dozens of wineries in attendance. Okay, I was thrilled too!
It was great getting to meet several of my fave chefs, including Bernard Guillas of The Marine Room.
We enjoyed a fabulous cooking demonstration by Rick Bayless followed by another from Javier Plascencia.
Javier began his cooking demo by offering shots of mezcal to the audience and ended it by taking photos with fans. We had a great time!
One of my fave new discoveries at this year’s San Diego Wine + Food Festival, Spiked Seltzer!
We had a wonderful day at the 2016 San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival and can’t wait to attend again next year! Have you ever attended the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival?
I received complimentary press passes in exchange for coverage of the event.
