The holiday season is always my favorite time of the year. With Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve right around the corner, it’s also a very busy time! From hosting family members to attending holiday parties and school performances, nobody wants to be slowed down by a cold or flu, myself included! With the Vicks Winter Wellness Care Package, you’ll have everything you need to prepare and protect yourself this cold and flu season…and you can win one below!
Humidity and Wellness
I do what I can to prevent catching colds or the flu each year, and for the most part I’ve been pretty successful. Like many of you I’m sure, I wash my hands often, take vitamins, eat well and get plenty of exercise. Another thing I do is try to keep the relative humidity level in our home between 40%-60%, which is the ideal level for wellness. You can use a Vicks Humidity Monitor (MSRP $16.99) to easily determine the temperature and humidity level in any room of your home.
If you find that the humidity level in your home is rather low, the Vicks Mini Filter Free Cool Mist Humidifier can help. Available in blue, green or pink, this humidifier can raise humidity levels in any room, which in turn reduces the survival of cold and flu viruses. The humidifier can also soothe and temporarily relieve cough and congestion symptoms in the event you are infected. This Vicks Cool Mist Humidifier is available at Walmart with an MSRP of $42.99.

My tips are to stay indoors if you can, bundle up if you go out, take your vitamins daily and get your flu shot.
Jen! This is perfect for the winter! Perfect for a mom, during cold and flu season!! I am really hoping for the winner winner, on this giveaway!
It really is a great package! Best of luck to you! 🙂
Well we all get the flu shot and I use sanitizer on the kids like a psycho…so they say! For relief I put a dab of vasoline on their nostrils to prevent chaffing. And nothing beats some homemade chicken soup. That stuff is like rocket fuel!
I love homemade chicken soup!!
My best tip is to get a humidifier right away, especially if you have dry heat like from a wood stove. It can make the congestion a whole lot worse.
I completely agree! Dry air is the worst for congestion!
In our house we get our flu shots sometimes it works sometimes not so much. We also go outside in lots of layers. We also try to stay active.
I think staying active is key sometimes!
Seems like once cold and flu season hits my son and his classmates all take turns being sick! I am mindful and keep my child at home when is ill. Lots of rest and make the sick one comfortable.
I know what you mean, once it starts spreading it spreads fast! Thanks for stopping by Cynthia!
I try to feed my children lots of good fruits and veggies so they get their vitamins.
Thank goodness my kids love fruit, veggies are a challenge though! 🙂
Wash and wash your hands and sneeze into your elbow
I’ve been trying so hard to teach my kids the elbow trick! 🙂
We take immune boosting vitamins, use hand sanitizer and avoid very crowded places.
My tips and tricks are to wash your hands all the time. Bring hand sanitizer with you when you can not always wash your hands. Do not shake hands, sneeze on your sleeve, clean surfaces all the time in the house. Stay away from sick people as much as possible and eat a healthy diet! Take vitamins.
We wash our hands and drink plenty of fluide. I also try to take Vitamin C to help keep us healthy.
We just try to wash our hands often and take daily vitamins.
We get our flu shots and wash our hands.
I think the one that helps us the most is….whenever we come home from being out and about…we always wash our hands coming back home in the house. We try to keep the germs out as much as we can…but they always find a way to sneak in!
My tip is to take vitamins and wash hands
I make my kids wash there hands all the time and use hand sanitizer and take vitamins.
We wash our hands and faces often, drink lots of fluids and take vitamin c.
It’ s so important to make sure you wash your hands several times a day. We go as far as carrying around hand sanitizer!
My tips and tricks to avoid a cold is avoid crowds, wash your hands a lot, take your vitamins and eat your veggies.
We eat well and keep hands clean, thats really the key to staying healthy.
MY TIP IS EATING WELL AND WASHING MY HANDS.
I send hand sanitizer to school with my kids to use between classes.
Constantly washing hands, eating lots of vegetables and fruits, and keeping a bottle of hand sanitizer in our bags at all times.
No specific tips. We don’t dress too warm, we don’t dress too cool… we stay indoors when the weather is extremely bad, but don’t avoid it just because it’s cold. We don’t freak out at the sign of a sniffle, but know when we need to treat a cold.
Lots of fluid, vitamins, keep tissues everywhere! We wash our hands a lot and wipe down cart handles. sanitize, light switches, door handles etc often!
My tips are eating well, wash hands frequently, plenty of rest, and drink plenty of fluids!
I make my family wash their hands often and take a multi vitamin daily.
I keep my hands clean and clean my house very well. Thanks for the chance to win such an amazing giveaway.
