Just in time for Independence Day, LEGOLAND® California Resort recently unveiled it’s newly remodeled New York City skyline in Miniland U.S.A. Media in attendance were treated to breakfast and live music performed by a brass band. Children were able to take photos with Lady Liberty and Uncle Sam who were soaring above everyone on stilts. Hometown heroes from the Carlsbad Police and Fire Departments assisted during the ribbon cutting ceremony for #MinilandNYC that ended with red, white and blue confetti being blasted into the air.
The new One World Trade Center is officially the tallest LEGO® building in the United States, towering at 26 feet. It was built with more than 250,000 LEGO bricks and took eight Master Model Builders more than 1200 hours to build. The One World Trade Center LEGO structure weighs more than 1000 pounds and is surrounded by replicas of the 9/11 Memorial’s twin reflecting pools and the grove of memorial trees. It really is a beautiful sight that is a must-see when visiting LEGOLAND California!
The new #MinilandNYC featuring the One World Trade Center LEGO model opened in time for the Resort’s Red White and Boom 4th of July celebration. The family event features activities like water-balloon tosses, burlap sack races, a patriotic stroller parade, building activities and a fireworks display at 8:30 p.m. The new LEGO models and 4th of July event are included with the price of admission to LEGOLAND California Resort. My family received 4 complimentary Legoland Park Hopper tickets in exchange for this post.
