Stitch Fix December 2015 Overview
After what I felt was a great box last month, I was looking forward to my Stitch Fix December 2015 box! I definitely got some great items this month, and I will preface that I asked for dresses and warmer weather pieces for a couple of reasons. First, I live in San Diego, enough said. Second, I’m going on a sunny Caribbean cruise next month and need cruise attire! I thought my stylist did a great job catering to my requests. Now, onto the details.
Papermoon Shelia Dress
Pictured above is the Papermoon Shelia Dress ($78), which out of the box I loved, but wasn’t sure it would fit. Lucky for me, the fitted top was a stretchy material, something I’ve requested more of from Stitch Fix. I loved the colors and it did end up fitting perfectly. I was seriously on the fence about this one until the second I dropped by bag in the mail to send back to Stitch Fix. I ended up sending it back only because the neckline was a bit high for my liking, and with at fitted as it was, I thought it made my chest look even bigger than it already is. A tad bit lower cut neckline and I’m sure it would’ve been a keeper. I love the flowy skirt, it’s one of those dresses you can actually eat in!
Gilli Robbin Dress
The Gilli Robbin Dress ($54) was another one I thought might not fit at first, but again, it was stretchy! This dress was just okay to me, it felt a little corporate, like something I would’ve worn back when I worked full-time. My husband loved it though, so I definitely gave it some thought. Again the neckline came into play in my decision. This wrap-style top of the dress didn’t seem like it would stay in place all the time. I noticed one side crawling down just while I was trying the dress on. So, even though the price was right, I decided against this one.
Mo:Vint Barden Short Sleeve Sweater Knit &
Kut From the Kloth Kate Boyfriend Jeans
The Mo:Vint Barden Short Sleeve Sweater Knit ($58) & Kut From the Kloth Kate Boyfriend Jeans ($88) made for a great outfit right out of the box. I have mostly been acquiring skinny jeans over the years, and this time of year I don’t feel too skinny, so boyfriend jeans were definitely a great idea! I’m still madly in love with the last pair of Kut From the Kloth jeans that I bought from Stitch Fix, so I knew these were a keeper. They’re so comfy! The Barden Sweater was the perfect combo of casual and cute, and perfect for the mild winter we have here in San Diego. I decided to keep both items, why not?!
Renee C Huebert Space Dye Open Cardigan
Lastly was the Renee C Huebert Space Dye Open Cardigan ($58). This was another back and forth item for me. I’m a sucker for cute cardigans and I never feel like I have enough of them. This was so cozy and would be perfect for a cold night out, but in the end I felt like there was just a bit much fabric on the front of the cardigan for my somewhat small frame. I also think I would’ve preferred a more solid gray color perhaps. I’m still having second thoughts just talking about it though!
All in all, my Stitch Fix December 2015 box was another fun box full of practical clothing that fit me well. I look forward to another box next month! If you still have yet to check out Stitch Fix for yourself, visit the Stitch Fix website for all of the details and to request your first box!
