SkinCare by Alana
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m always on the lookout for the latest and greatest skin care products. I recently stumbled across SkinCare by Alana, a one stop shop for a variety of top skin care brands curated by Alana Mitchell, an experienced esthetician based in Dana Point, CA. The site sells well-known spa and salon brands like Epicuren, Dermalogica and Eminence as well as high-end retail lines like Kinerase, GlamGlow and Clarisonic. What I immediately loved about this site, is that instead of just being a skin care store, you can shop by concern and see Alana’s top product picks and other advice addressing your specific concern. You can also call or chat with a medical esthetician and get expert advice tailored to your skin care needs. They’ll base some of their advice on what products you’ve liked or not liked in the past and help you chose the products that are right for your skin. It’s almost like taking your esthetician shopping with you!
Oxygen Botanicals
One product line in particular that caught my eye on the SkinCare by Alana website is Oxygen Botanicals. Oxygen Botanicals is the first company to develop a full line of skin care products with non-chemically derived oxygen. I love that these products help restore and maintain levels of oxygen in the skin. Oxygen is vital to maintaining a youthful look and feel to our skin, and who doesn’t want to do that?! I was actually able to sample a few of Oxygen Botanicals’ moisturizers and love that they have so many different options to choose from. No matter your skin type, there is an option for you!
The first product I tried was the Oxygen Botanicals Anti-Oxidant Cream, which I noticed was very lightweight and absorbed quickly into my skin. I actually tried it at night the first time and noticed that in the morning my skin felt perfect, not at all greasy like some night creams might leave it. Antioxidants are of course great for counteracting free radicals and keeping your skin protected from pollutants. I also tried the Oxygen Botanicals Day Cream for Normal to Dry skin. My skin is closer to normal or even combination, but it was a really dry day outside so I thought I’d give this a go. I loved how well it absorbed and how hydrated my skin felt and how supple it looked. My makeup glided on perfectly and I felt like my skin was glowing all day! Due to the dry weather, I also thought I’d give the Oxygen Botanicals Super Hydrating Cream a try at night and although it felt pretty thick at first, my skin soaked it right up. I woke up in the morning without any residue or excess oil and my skin felt great. I definitely look forward to trying out more products from the Oxygen Botanicals line as I’ve loved everything I’ve tried thus far!

Thanks for the tip. Right now, I am loving Radiantly You. All natural, organic products that don’t leave my skin tight and dry. It’s taken years for me to find the one! I’ll definitely keep this in mind for the future, though.
It’s always great when you find products that work for you! 🙂
I’m looking for an eye cream that can make tired eyes vanish… I’ll have to check them out and see if they offer anything like that.
